*NOW OPEN* Competition to present your research at POGP National Conference 2015

11 March 2015 - 9:35am

This is an ideal opportunity to tell delegates about your research, audits, pilot studies or case reports, or indeed, any aspect of your work that could be of interest to your colleagues, and might make us question or think about our practice. You do not have to be an academic or experienced speaker to enter this competition, just willing to share your project with us.

Please send electronic copies of your submission using the application forms available on the website (pogp.csp.org.uk) to the Research Officer (e-mail: shirley.bustard@nhs.net).

Please fill in the forms carefully, and include all information that is relevant to each section. The closing date for submissions is 30 June 2015.

This year, we will choose an overall winner, from abstract submissions, who will be the winner of the POGP research prize. They will win £100 and a certificate. They, along with three other submissions will be selected to present their research to conference. This should last for 10 min, and a further 5 min will be allowed for answering questions.

Further appropriate abstracts will be offered the opportunity of poster presentation. These will be judged at Conference, by delegates. The best poster will receive a prize of £50 and a certificate.

We hope to increase the number of posters this year. Feedback from delegates has been overwhelmingly positive about accessing poster presentations, and we look forward to receiving your abstracts.

Posters should be A0 size (ISO 216 paper size system): equivalent to 841 x 1189 mm or 33 x 46.75 inches.

General information: Please ensure that you have explained all abbreviations in your abstract, give details if this work has previously been presented or published elsewhere, and keep to the word limit. Abstracts will be published in the POGP journal, and the overall winner of the competition will also be encouraged to write an article for this periodical.

If you have any queries, please contact the POGP Research Officer (e-mail: shirley.bustard@nhs.net).

Please note: The author, or one co-author, of each accepted abstract (poster and podium) must register as a delegate for Conference.
